R2-D2 is a major character throughout all six Star Wars films. In Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, R2D2 helps repair Queen Padme Amidala´s starship, after that R2D2 meet C3PO and Anakin Skywalker. In Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, R2-D2 serves Anakin and Obi-Wan to complete their mission. However, Anakin Skywalker has fallen to the dark side and become Darth Vader. In Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, R2D2 becomes Luke´s astromech droid, and helps Luke to fight again Darth Vader. You can see how important of R2D2 in Star War movie. If you watch any Star War movie, you must know R2D2.

As R2D2 is a such important charater in star war movie, lot of R2D2 products can be found in the market. You can find R2D2 USB hub, R2D2 speaker, R2D2 alarm clock, R2D2 projecter, and etc .. However, none of them are highly detail and painted based on movie. Medicom R2D2 is the first R2D2 1/6 scale action figure (as I know). R2D2 don´t have any high tech features. The only feature that medicom R2D2 has is light up function. It is because Medicom R2D2 is action figure, not appliance. R2D2 is highly authentic and film accurate action figure.
